Ged Thompson has run numerous workshops with both adults and children, bringing his passion and joy in the spoken word into sessions aimed at challenging people to look for the magic inside themselves and share it.
Ged has brought poetry to life for some children who had never experienced reading or writing their own poetry. His work inspires confidence and self belief in people that may never have thought of poetry as an outlet for their emotions and struggles.
Ged challenged pupils to think beyond their comfort zone and to question and reflect on the world around them.
The reaction of one pupil, after leaving one session, summed up the impact he had;
“ My brain is hurting, I have never thought so hard”.
